I’m aging. Do I like it? No, and I will put up a heck of a fight to avoid it. While I’m not crazy about getting everything tucked, pulled and lifted, I certainly don’t mind adding a few simple habits to my daily routine.
Here are my top 3 tips to avoid aging:
- Don’t cut too much fat. When you limit good fats, your skin will show it in the form of dry skin and a lack of elasticity. Make sure you have good fats on a daily basis. (For ex: nuts, avocados or salmon). I used to think nuts were bad for my diet, but studies show they can help you lose weight (by keeping you full), lower your cholesterol and protect you from diabetes. My new favorite nutty treat? The Think Thin Crunch bar, see link below to get a FREE bar!
- Hang out with your friends. The busier I get, the less I return calls to my friends. Having a social network and seeing/talking to friends lowers your risk of obesity and heart disease-unless you meet your friends at Krispy Kreme.
- Go to bed! Staying up past your bedtime increases your risk of obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Plus, you look like you have a whole set of baggage under your eyes. Not good.
